Join a Nationwide Tribute: Taps Across America 2026

This Memorial Day, any and all musicians are invited to take part in a powerful national tradition: Taps Across America 2026.

On Monday, May 25, at 3:00 PM local time, musicians across the country will unite to sound the 24 notes of Taps during the National Moment of Remembrance. From front porches and parks to veterans’ memorials and cemeteries, Americans will pause to honor those who gave their lives in service to our nation.

This year’s theme, “250 Years. 24 Notes. One Nation.”, reflects America’s upcoming 250th anniversary and the generations of service members who helped secure our freedom.

The best part? Anyone can participate. Whether you play trumpet, saxophone, flute, trombone, clarinet, percussion, or any other instrument, musicians of all ages and skill levels are encouraged to join. Red Hill Band director George Pinchock will be participating on saxophone and encourages fellow musicians to do the same.

Taps Across America is more than a performance—it’s a tribute, a promise, and a shared act of remembrance. Together, we can help ensure that the sound of Taps echoes across the nation in honor of our fallen heroes.

When the Red Hill Band formed in 1900, our intent was to provide enjoyable entertainment to families in our community. Since then our community has experienced many changes, but our intent has remained unchanged. With about 15 performances each summer, the Red Hill Band entertains crowds of all ages throughout the Montgomery County area. Our artistic mission is to continue the tradition of band concerts in parks and at civic and social events, playing marches, show tunes and other traditional concert band music.
