Get to know George!

The Red Hill Band is pleased to announce that George Pinchock has accepted the position of Director of Music. George is a retired Associate Director of Music with Villanova University in Pennsylvania where he worked with the concert, marching and pep bands, advised student performing groups, and was director of the summer graduate teacher education program from 1994 through 2015.

He holds a Bachelors in Music Education and a Masters of Music from West Chester University, PA. He has a keen interest in all things band and has studied with Jerry Nowak,  Eugene Corporon, Ed Lisk, Quincy Hilliard, and more.

George has an interest in large events and festivals. From 1985-1989 he produced the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 4th of July parade, the Independence Classic DCI Drum and Bugle corps show, and has been a consultant and planner for parades, ceremonies, and special events. He has conducted the Jamboree Band for the Boy Scouts National Jamboree since 2013.

George has been an adjudicator for Festivals of Music, Music in the Parks, Music Showcase Festivals and the Cavalcade of Bands Association. He is Past-President of the National Catholic Band Association (NCBA).  George is retired Scoutmaster of Troop 50 in Schwenksville, PA, which he founded in 2000. Personally, he enjoys travel, and the outdoors especially backpacking and camping.
